As you know I led the design and building of the Getty Center, Getty Villa and Walt Disney Concert Hall. And together Carol and I have done numerous remodels and expansions of our homes over the years. So, we speak from experience.
Sacred Space Design and Construction is amazing! You listened to Carol and her dreams and desires. The design exceeded our expectations. Omar and his crew were exceptional at every step of the construction.
As I told Omar, I’ve never seen a project where the manager is thinking so far ahead and preparing so that the crew is working and making progress each and every day.
When there were surprises or delays in materials Omar and the crew moved on to accomplish something else. Never a minute wasted. And when we made changes or additions the entire team jumped in and made it happen. And the crew was devoted, gracious and polite all along.

We worked with Karen and Omar of Sacred Space Garden Design over the course of two years and highly recommend their work. Karen understood our vision and translated it into detailed designs, with the possibility to adjust along the way.
We started with the front yard and worked our way to the back. In the end, the new landscaping included stone masonry (curving staircase, retaining walls), travertine steps, decorative tile work, new concrete patio base, travertine patio floor, BBQ island, fire pit, gas lines, a wall fountain, wooden vegetable planter boxes as well as many, many plants & trees, new soil, landscape lighting and irrigation systems.
The communication was great and we always counted on Karen's take on all questions of design. Omar was on-site much of the time, working with and overseeing his crew, which was great for the communication. Omar's father is a master stone mason, who's skills in stone work are amazing. We could not be happier with the work they have done from the first design to the finished landscaping.

We need to cross City-owned property to access our front door from the street. Karen Miller drew up the plans for the new walkway and assisted us in getting the needed permit from La Canada, which was not a trivial process.
